Require Student Nurses be paid whilst on placement

What the petition asks
Student nurses pay over £9000 a year for their tuition fees, which need to be paid back once qualified and employed. As well as tuition fees many student nurses apply for student loans to be able to pay for food/bills/books etc which also needs to be paid back.
A student can be in around £60,000 + worth of debt before they have even started their career.
Student nurses are expected to complete a certain amount of practice hours over the 3 years of training in order to qualify, ALL FOR FREE!
Student nurses in their placements work just as hard as employed members of staff.
Student nurses should be paid for the hours on placement they do, it could give more people an incentive to be a nurse and stay on the course.
