Lift the inhumane sanctions on Syria now

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

Lift the blanket sanctions on Syria in order to help deliver much-needed emergency aid to affected areas, and to help avoid the real prospect of further socio-economic collapse.
In Syria, it has been a losing race against the clock to find eathquake survivors and provide emergency relief - a desperate situation that is acutely exacerbated by western sanctions that severely reduce access to affected areas and the country in general.

Countrywide sanctions on Syria were already deeply ill-considered before the earthquake, now they are simply profoundly immoral and cruel.
