Abolish need for TV license for live streaming non BBC channels

Rejected 9 signatures

What the petition asks

At present you require a TV license to live stream non BBC channels and Internet only media sites such as YouTube and Prime Video when they stream live broadcasts.

As more people move away from traditional TV channels it no longer makes sense or is fair to require a license for these platforms
Change the law so a TV license is only required for services offered by the BBC.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

You may wish to sign this petition which calls for the same action: Abolish the requirement for BBC non-viewers to have a TV licence.
