IBS hurts. Require manufacturers state what type of sugar their products contain

What the petition asks
We want food and drink manufacturers to be required to include on labels which types of sugar their products contain, and the percentages of different sugars.
Between 10-20% of people in the UK have IBS. For us, different types of sugars can have different effects. Sometimes even the ratio of one sugar to another can be important. Eating the wrong type of sugar can cause significant pain.
The majority of manufactured food contains sugar and the majority of food packaging only lists "sugar" without stating what type has been added, which makes trying new products a lottery. Where manufacturers are adding sugar, they should be required to state which type and in what volume to help people with IBS.
