What the petition asks

The UKGov should take swift steps to significantly reduce the energy price cap and guarantee a price that is affordable for all members of the public.

People should be able to heat their homes to provide comfort for old and young without the fear of worrying about going into debt. It is utterly farcical that this government refuses to introduce measures that would safeguard the public of this country.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Subsidise energy and fuel prices to mitigate cost increases

This petition will close on 14 March. You could start a new petition when it closes calling for the Government to increase support for the energy price guarantee to reduce the cost of energy for households, if that's what you'd like to see.
