What the petition asks
To extend regulation of health services to medical companies providing care at sport, entertainment and cultural events.
Currently medical companies providing these services are not regulated, which can contribute to variabilities in the standards of care given to patients in the event setting.
Currently medical companies providing these services are not regulated, which can contribute to variabilities in the standards of care given to patients in the event setting.
Medical companies need to be held accountable by a regulatory that has powers to check staffing qualifications, equipment and areas of knowledge for the fields they work in to ensure they are providing the right care to patients.
Without regulation patients are being put at risk and event organisers have no idea who to trust.
