What the petition asks
We believe that the nation's democracy has fundamentally broken down and that parliament has proven incapable of repairing itself.
The traditional response to such a situation is a civil war, but that ought not be necessary in a civilised democracy.
Parliament must find a better alternative.

There is not space here to set out the manyfold reasons why we think that our democracy has broken down, nor to properly explore the mechanisms by which this might be rectified.
Even if there were space, it is not my place to dictate how best to restore democracy, or if it is, then that is a simple answer: hand the keys of the nation over to me and I shall see what I can do.
Parliament should find a better plan, perhaps run a competition in schools, whittle them down and vote on the final three.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
It's not clear if you want the Prime Minister to resign, so that a new Prime Minister can be appointed and form a new Government, or if you want something else to happen. We can't accept petitions calling for ministers, including the Prime Minister, to resign, but we have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:
