What the petition asks

Hospices in the UK provide care to 225,000 people each year, giving families support throughout the most difficult times of their lives. These hospices rely heavily on the kindness of the public to donate in a range of ways to support the work. Therefore I am asking Government to increase funding.

Many hospices do not receive any Government funding and the ones that receive money from NHS investment is often only a small percentage of the overall costs. I would like the Government to increase how much is invested into hospices. Increased Government funding for hospices should help secure the future of these services.
