What the petition asks
The UK was a founding member of NATO, which was established to address a perceived threat from the Soviet Union. But the USSR dissolved in 1991, so NATO’s initial reason to exist disappeared. But rather than winding up its operations NATO nearly doubled the number of member states.
Since 1991, NATO, which claims to be a defensive military alliance, has been directly engaged in various offensive military operations. I believe that the membership of NATO is now endangering UK citizens.
