Hotels must apply for planning permission to convert into Asylum hostels

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Nobody is standing up for businesses and residents adversely effected by the conversion of hotels into hostels for Asylum seekers.

It is not right that local businesses and residents are treated like second-class citizens in their own towns.
Crawley in West Sussex use to benefit from tourists and travellers staying at a number or hotels in the town centre including the Ramada and Arora Hotel. Over the past 12 months these hotels have been turned into asylum hostels without any public consultation or foresight from Crawley Borough Council.

The loss of tourists and travellers is decimating local trade. Without change more business will fail and sow further discontent.

Why it was rejected
