What the petition asks
Currently each Police Force has the ability to purchase systems/uniform/vehicles/assets/devices, at various rates/issue contracts to suppliers at different rates and prices.Why not remove 42 x Procurement Functions and a national Dept.?
This will drive cost efficiencies, return tax-payer funding to front line serivces, invest in strategic solutions, drive cohesive budgets, align supplier costs and specifications of products, free-up resource across each Police Force, and operationally deliver a better streamlined output for the public and businesses
