Require planning permission for hotels to be used as hostels for asylum seekers

What the petition asks
We believe nobody is standing up for businesses and residents adversely effected by the use of hotels as hostels for asylum seekers. We think that the views of local businesses and residents are being disregarded.
Crawley in West Sussex use to benefit from tourists and travellers staying at a number of hotels in the town centre including the Ramada and Arora Hotel. Over the past 18 months these hotels have been used as asylum hostels without any public consultation. The loss of tourists and travellers is detrimental to local trade, and without change we are concerned more business will fail and sow further discontent.
