Repeal the Vagrancy Act (1824)

Closed 42 signatures

What the petition asks

Repeal the Vagrancy Act, which currently criminalises rough sleeping and begging.
The Vagrancy Act of 1824 makes it a criminal offence to sleep or beg for money. At a time where the cost of living and homelessness are spiralling out of control, it’s time to start helping the most vulnerable in our society instead of punishing them.
