Ban leaseholders from having no pets clauses

What the petition asks
The Government should recognise that leaseholders are putting restrictions on purchasers and tenants to say that they can’t own pets, such as a companion dog. Some people are choosing to remain homeless rather than be parted from their beloved companion.
I am presently purchasing a ground floor flat in what was previously a local authority block. It is now under the management of a housing association who are the leaseholders of the block. My visitors will be allowed to bring their dogs with them, despite my dog being prohibited from living with me.
