Petition · past parliament
Make fast food delivery firms ensure their cyclists adhere to the Highway Code.

What the petition asks
Fast Food firms such as Deliveroo or Just Eat employ cyclists to deliver customers. They are often found riding on pavements, the wrong side of the road and without lights at night - this is illegal.
They are a public menace.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Individuals are responsible for abiding by road traffic legislation and the Highway Code, and the police are responsible for enforcing road traffic offences. We could accept a petition calling on the Government to introduce fines for businesses whose drivers are found guilty of road traffic offences while on duty.
