Let trans people have rights!!

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

I want them to allow trans kids and adults to have rights.
I know this probably wont do much but its worth a try

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action, and we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

Trans people already have rights, including legal protections against discrimination because of being trans. The Equality Act 2010 says that you must not be discriminated against because of gender reassignment. In the Equality Act, gender reassignment means proposing to undergo, undergoing or having undergone a process to reassign your sex.

You can find out more about what the Equality Act says about gender reassignment discrimination here: https://www.equalityhumanrights.com/en/advice-and-guidance/gender-reassignment-discrimination

If there is something specific you want the Government to do to enhance rights for trans people you could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
