Commit to and fund all schools being zero carbon by 2030

What the petition asks
To show a commitment to Let's Go Zero's 7-steps to create zero carbon schools, and specifically to the first step of the government committing to all schools being zero carbon by 2030, and announcing long term and consistent policies and funding to enable this.
The Government's sustainability and climate change strategy for the education and children’s services systems sets out the Government's vision for "the UK to be the world-leading education sector in this area by 2030". As part of this there is an aim for emissions from education to be reduced and for children to have opportunities to engage practically in the transition to 'net zero'.
This is not ambitious or specific enough. Schools being zero carbon organisations by 2030 will show a commitment to a green future for our children.
