I'd like guards or some sort of security on public transportation

What the petition asks
To put security and patrols on public transportation
This can help reduce the amount of children missing the security can ask questions make the relevant calls if they see a young child travelling alone late at night this could reduce the time a child is missing and be returned home safely with no harm to them
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
The British Transport Police already exists to police the national rail network. Policing local public transport is the responsibility of individual police forces. Decisions about how to deploy police officers are a matter for individual police forces, not the Government or Parliament.
If you are concerned about policing of public transport where you live, you could raise your concerns with your local Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), who is responsible for overseeing your local police force.
