Half road tax in areas where roads are not adequately maintained

What the petition asks
Our roads need to have an inspection each year via an independent body, with road tax halved for cars registered in any area where roads are not adequately maintained.
The Government needs to recognise the lack of action by local authorities to sort out our roads. Each vehicle has to pass an MOT inspection to clarify our vehicles are fit for our roads.
A road inspection needs to be taken every year in every area, to ascertain if our roads are fit for our vehicles. If the roads in area are found to be maintained to less than 85% of an acceptable standard, all vehicles registered within the area should have their road tax halved until roads in that area are improved.
