ban supermarkets charging extra for item if a person doesn't have a loyalty card

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

we want the goverment to force a rule that no supermarket can charge extra if the person doesn't have a loyalty card.
you have to be over 18 to obtain a loyalty card and making it so everyone under that age has to pay the over inflated prices that the supermarkets are charging.
we want low prices for all customers, not just for those that use one of the said cards.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about whether to offer discounts for loyalty card holders are a matter for individual businesses, not the UK Government or Parliament.
