Don't spend tax payers' money on coronations
Closed
109 signatures
What the petition asks
The Government should require that any royal coronations and all associated celebrations are paid for by the private funds of the royal family and not from the revenue generated by the British tax payer.
With the increase in living costs and many families struggling to pay their bills they should not be further burdened by their taxes being used to pay for the coronation. This money could better be spent on other provisions such as the NHS and Energy Bill support schemes instead of going on celebrations which most can’t attend.
