Stop the closure of the east of England showground and Peterborough speedway

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Help stop the closure of the east of England showground and speedway track instead of turning it in to a residential development.
Speedway and events hosted at the showground brings in entertainment and investment to the city
Help stop the change of use to residential, removing a site that has a vast history of hosting events for the public.
Stop the loss of the speedway track which has a great history of winning championships
It would be a loss to the city, exhibition company's and damage the sport of speedway in the uk

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about the East of England Showground are a matter for the Agricultural Society, not the UK Government or Parliament.
