Ban 'restraining' and 'seclusion' rooms in all educational settings

What the petition asks
We are calling on the Government to ban 'restraining' and 'seclusion' rooms in all educational settings. We believe it is unacceptable, unnecessary and heart breaking for schools to have these rooms.
School should be exciting, positive and supportive . A lot of children miss out because of unmet needs and school refusal. So much trauma and anxiety can be caused for children and their families.
Children put into 'restraint' or 'seclusion' rooms are often left unattended for lengthy periods of time. We believe this is barbaric treatment of children and young people and is totally unacceptable in this day and age. Seclusion and restraint can cause lasting damage to their mental health and daily lives. Please do something about it.
