Stop benefit sanctions for homeless benefit claimants

What the petition asks
To understand rough sleepers may not be able to attend work searches due to not having a home, poor mental health or needing time to access homeless support. Homeless benefit claimants should not be subject to any actions.
To give the rough sleepers time to work with a homeless organisation or their local authority, in order to settle them in some form of accommodation. Their needs should be assessed so they can fully renter society slowly, and feel safe and confident to find work.
When the benefits stop due to not attending work coach meetings this can prevent them from obtaining housing and set the process back. It’s hard enough for them sleeping rough
