Require banks to offer transaction blocking for businesses selling alcohol

What the petition asks

Some banks offer the option to block customers from spending money at certain types of businesses such as gambling companies or pubs. I would like to see the Government require UK banks to offer this service for businesses that sell alcohol.

It would be extremely useful to people who struggle with alcohol abuse disorder. With alcohol available to purchase 24/7 and the ease of online delivery services it has become too easy for somebody with alcohol abuse issues to fall deeper into illness. It would be for the better of the person with that condition and their family and friends if these services were put in place. It could also help to reduce anti-social behaviour, health problems and workplace problems
