Help nhs Sudanese staff to exit the country
Rejected

What the petition asks
Help nhs staff with visas to return safely to uk
50% of doctors working in the NHS are from abroad: many are from Sudan. Despite service to the nhs for several years and holding a visa they are not being helped to escape sudan unless uk passport holders. Over 70 doctors are in this position. I urge the UK government to help them return to the UK to their jobs here safely
Why it was rejected
The UK Government or Parliament was already taking the action it asked for.
On Saturday 29 April the Government made the decision to extend the evacuation criteria to include eligible non-British nationals in Sudan who are working as clinicians within the NHS, and their dependents who have leave to enter the UK: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/2197-people-safely-evacuated-from-sudan-by-the-uk
