To extend the eligibility for Cost of Living Payments in 2023/24

What the petition asks
This petition calls for the extension of eligibility for Cost of Living Payments for the 2023/24 period to include anyone who receives/received Universal Credit during the 2023/24 period and accordingly to backdate the first Cost of Living Payment for the 2023/24 period to include such persons.
Many people/families have been excluded from Cost of Living Payments where they have not been entitled to a Universal Credit payment during the required assessment period (which will happen again for future payments), despite otherwise being entitled to Universal Credit throughout the year. This issue needs to be addressed.
