What the petition asks
I would like smoking to be made illegal for people born after 2006, this means that as of now, all people impacted by this law are under 18, which is the legal age to buy cigarettes.
Primary smokers are subject to adverse lung issues like cancer and build up of tar. Furthermore, it is a danger to everyone who inhales the fumes of smoke as they too inhale the toxic chemicals found in tobacco and smoke. This can also increase their risk of developing smoking related diseases.
It is also bad for the environment as almost 4.5 trillion cigarettes pollute our skies and rivers each year. New Zealand has implemented similar laws.
