Ban animal testing for cosmetics ingredients

What the petition asks
We ask the government to ban the testing of cosmetic ingredients on animals and for this to be enacted by the time the Government's new chemical strategy has been published.
The government has allowed animal testing for makeup ingredients to resume despite a 25-year ban. Each year inside British laboratories, around 3 million animals are experimented on. Every 8 seconds, one animal dies. We believe it is cruel and completely unnecessary and does not add any value to human safety. We ask government to instead fund and support alternative methods.
We also ask government to enforce a requirement for cosmetic companies to label their packaging to identify if they have used animal testing at any point in the production process.
