Ban the display of calorie information on menus, adverts and front of packs

What the petition asks
We want a ban on calorie information, including traffic-light labels, from adverts, menus and front of pack labels. I'm aware that this information needs to be available, especially to people with certain health conditions, but it can be available on request in restaurants, on the back of packaging.
This could benefit people who struggle with eating disorders. Many of us with eating disorders can latch onto numbers, triggering negative thought patterns, filtering down to harmful behaviours that potentially put lives at risk.
People desperately fighting eating disorders are constantly faced with barriers, such as calories on food packaging or menus, which can make it difficult for us to make healthy choices and take small steps towards recovery, which are vitally important for our physical and mental health.
