Create an independent UK Postal Delivery Ombudsman

What the petition asks
Parcel delivery services currently have UK consumers bent over a barrel! When there are issues there is official form of redress for the services provided. Items are regularly delayed, lost and stolen by these companies. Whilst other services are regulated nothing is done about parcel delivery.
The loss of parcels alone is costing UK consumers millions. While some parcel companies are doing exactly what is expected of them, there are plenty that do not. When these companies come short of their expected service they need to be held to account. Items being "lost in the system" is simply unacceptable and should be investigated and, if necessary, be treated as theft.
