Base NHS pay award on worked hours in 22/23 and not contracted hours on 31/03/23

Closed 189 signatures

What the petition asks

To revisit how the non-consolidated payments for 22/23 for NHS staff are calculated. It should be calculated based on the worked hours in 22/23 (except overtime) instead of solely looking at contracted hours on 31/03/2023.
We believe the current award is not fair to NHS staff who have changed their contracted hours during the 22/23 period. With the pandemic eased, some NHS staff may have changed their contracted hours focusing on other aspect of their life. We believe it is unreasonable to overlook the work that staff had put in during 22/23 and look solely at contracted hours on one day, 31/03/2023, as the pay deal was branded 22/23. This is essentially uncredited the work particular staff had contributed, please re-consider.
