What the petition asks
Cats are not classed as domestic pets but yet dogs are , despite dogs been working animals for the police , the blind , farmers etc , so why is it not possible to bring cats into section 170 and offer them the same protection as dogs
Cats are only covered under the the highway code

So cats are given the same protection as dogs , and to make it a legal requirement to report a accident involving a cat
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
