The pandemic, cost-of-living crisis, wage stagnation and underfunding of mental health (MH) services has created the worsening conditions for MH sufferers up and down the country.
An increase in funding for early intervention and prevention will decrease the strain and cost of this crisis on the NHS and MH charities at a later stage.
Failure to address these issues early on has the potential for increases in crime, addiction, obesity etc which cost the gov't and NHS more in the long term.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

The Government is not directly responsible for the delivery of mental health support services, which are a matter for the NHS and other relevant organisations, but we have already published the following petition, which you might like to sign:
