What the petition asks
Allow for street entertainment in Uxbridge to be either free or a yearly license fee rather than £37.50 for 2 hours
Street entertainment offers small towns live music and supports independent artists to help grow. It should be looked at as a positive, charging £37.50 for a 2 hour slot is unethical and near enough impossible. Music should be encouraged it’s freedom of speech and also connects with passers who often spend money in local establishments and want to find out more about the artists performing.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
