What the petition asks
We, the undersigned, are concerned about the challenges faced when contacting the PIP team by phone. Vulnerable individuals, including those with limited mobility or cognitive impairments, endure long waits. Urgent action is needed for timely support and an improved, accessible PIP system.
We urge the DWP to address accessibility challenges for vulnerable and disabled individuals accessing the PIP team.
We want the Government to:
1) Improve Telephone Accessibility: Reduce waiting times, increase staff capacity, and implement a reliable call-back system.
2) Establish Online Access: Create a secure portal for PIP services, enabling application submissions, document uploads, case tracking, and easy access to the PIP award letter.
