Add pea protein to list of allergens that must be listed on food labels

Closed 519 signatures

What the petition asks

Pea protein is becoming increasingly used in food products, and we want the Government to add pea protein to list of allergens that must be listed on food labels. Many people in the UK suffer from legume allergies, and it is important products containing pea protein can be easily identified.
From ice lollies, margarine, sausages, bagels and many more, it can be hard to spot the use or pea protein due to its different varieties. Require pea protein be included on food packaging labels, and emphasised in the same way as other allergens. It's a threat to life for many people.
