Hold a Public Inquiry into the handling and implementation of the EU referendum

Closed 4,667 signatures

What the petition asks

We want an inquiry into the Brexit referendum and UK's departure from the EU, including the motivations for this and its management, issues of truthfulness and foreign interference, and the decisions not to require a supermajority and to leave the Single Market and Customs Union.
Brexit has had a colossal impact on the UK and its future, economically, culturally and politically, and caused enormous division within our society which still persists. Now that we are dealing with the consequences, the British public has a right to know whether the referendum and UK's departure from the EU was managed with the integrity befitting such a momentous change, and why, given the marginal nature of the result, no attempt was made to find a compromise solution that could bring the country together.
