What the petition asks
Careers Guidance is a hot topic right now, for many reasons. Supporting learners to close the employment gaps, changes to education in maths, studying until the age of 18. Changes to apprenticeship funding and creating more apprenticeships for learners, university fees.
an individual has to have at least a level 6. This means, they must have an undergraduate degree. This requires theories/models such as motivational interviewing, counselling, social work theories to name a few to develop and learn before they can work in education institutions. you can help demonstrate and protect the importance and specific skills that enable professionals to give advice. many organisations employ coaches/teachers to take the role, however, it isn’t always impartial advice.
