What the petition asks
I would like the Government not to just talk about domestic abuse but to take action. Non-molestation orders are difficult to get. You have to give a lot of personal information. And you have to pay for legal representation. Abusers should pay these costs, instead of a victims.
There is too much domestic abuse, which has a huge impact on victims, and we want the Government to make it less costly for people who seek non-molestation orders.
I believe the justice system is letting people down, and that abusers should be made to pay the legal costs of victims who successfully apply for a non-molestation order. This would mean that abusers, not victims, pay these costs.
