Change the police's no-pursuit policy on stolen/illegal motorbikes

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

I want the government to end the no-pursuit policy on stolen motorbikes and drivers who are not wearing helmets which are often linked to drug running London can use tactics but no other force can.
Grow a backbone and allow the police forces everywhere to pursue these. People who are just going by their daily lives are getting injured when they're not even being pursued so by letting the police sit back and do nothing is not really helping so what if a suspect gets a broken arm they did the crime they pay for it simple then they might learn not to do it again. Also, make it where police can't be sued for this.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions on when to use tactical contact is an operational matter for individual Chief Officers, not the Government or Parliament.
