Install a pedestrian crossing outside Wouldham All Saints primary school

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

A pedestrian crossing and crossing patrol person are urgently needed outside Wouldham All Saints Primary School to allow children to cross Worral Drive safely in the mornings and when leaving school at 15:15pm.
It is a busy road, on a bend, with lots of cars, vans and lorries coming and going at peak times. Due to the curved shape of the road, it is very difficult to see when it is safe to cross and with no speed limits currently imposed it is only a matter of time until a serious accident or fatality occurs.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about local roads are a matter for the relevant local authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors

You can also petition Kent County Council directly. Find out how to do this here: https://democracy.kent.gov.uk/mgepetitionlistdisplay.aspx?bcr=1
