What the petition asks
University staff strikes took place over 3 days in November, spread over a period of 2 weeks. UCU took further 18 days of strike action taking place over 7 weeks in February and March. This was 9 weeks with teaching activity disruption. Many are now on marking strike and are not marking exam papers.
Students are losing lectures and tutorials, and their grades from their exams are severely delayed, but are required to pay full tuition fees.
The Government should require universities to reimburse tuition fees where teaching activities are lost.
Students should not bare the cost of this strike!”
