What the petition asks
To create a law that makes public gyms let people under 18 use resistance and srength training equipment . Young people should be allowed to use this type of equipment as otherwise it is discrimination to their age and breaking their rights.
Young people arent allowed to use equipment in severall gyms and it is unfair to them .All people should be allowed to use the equipment in gyms and it is of their right to do so.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about whether to offer services to people under the age of 18 are a matter for individual businesses, not the UK Government or Parliament.
Age discrimination is already illegal unless a business can show an objective justification for this. You can find out more about age discrimination here: https://www.equalityhumanrights.com/en/advice-and-guidance/age-discrimination
