What the petition asks
The government are aiming to start a central bank digital currency. This needs to be voted in by the people of the United Kingdom. It needs to be agreed upon.
This has not been voted in, this has not been agreed on by the people of the United Kingdom. There has been no agreement or choice made by the people of the United Kingdom to have this method of currency rolled out within. The government need to stop. The people need to understand the implications of having a digital currency. The government work for the people and therefore they are required to listen to the people before any kind of idea or change like this is made.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
