Reform laws barring people with no vision in one eye from getting an HGV licence

What the petition asks
I want the Government to reform the legislation that bars people with no vision in one eye from being able to be licensed to drive HGVs, and introduce new rules that allow a licence to be granted if a driver can meet the same visual acuity and visual field standards as binocular drivers.
I took a field of vision test at the opticians and received a score of 96% but as I'm blind in one eye I cannot get a licence to drive an HGV.
I want this to be reformed so that more people are able to become HGV drivers, which could help address the shortage of HGV drivers.
