Petition · past parliament

Install a safe place to cross a very busy road to the local park and duckpond.

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Encourage our local council to act upon concerns of residents to install a safe crossing area in Heol-y-Goedwig Porthcawl.
Lots of local parents and carers use this beautiful area, it is on a long stretch of road in which cars speed along. Due to it being a popular area it also means cars park both sides of the road making crossing tricky and dangerous. Myself and lots of others have witnessed many near misses due to this road and would like to see a safe crossing put in.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about local roads are a matter for the relevant local authority, not the UK Government or Parliament.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor who represents you. You can find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them, by entering your post code here: https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
