INCREASE OF SPEED LIMIT ON MOTORWAYS AND DUAL CARRIAGEWAYS

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Fully review the capabilities (or data obtained through manufacturer testing) of modern vehicles such as stopping distances (wet/dry) from a broad spectrum of vehicle manufacturers and review the UK speed limits on all roads in line with the new data.
Vehicles of today have a greater performance in speed, stopping distance and safety than the vehicles around the time the current speed limits were set. The increase has specifically been sought on roads with multiple lanes.

Why it was rejected

It was created under a fake or incomplete name.

If you start a new petition you'd need to be clear if you want the Government to conduct a review of speed limits on motorways and dual carriageways - based on modern car technology - or if you want the Government to increase speed limits on these roads.

If you want to petition the Government to review speed limits on motorways and dual carriageways, your petition couldn't prejudge the outcome of that review.
