Petition · past parliament

A system of checking workplaces for discrimination in London.

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Hold a meeting/discuss ways to prevent discrimination in the workplace.
It is unacceptable for humans to go through such a thing as it leads to financial instability and therefore worse issues such as crime and poverty. It is a violation of human rights!

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about discrimination, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

Discriminating against someone because of a protected characteristic is already against the law. You can find out more about discrimination law here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/law-and-courts/discrimination/taking-action-about-discrimination/taking-legal-action-about-discrimination/

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
