Make state pension payments on fixed dates each month

What the petition asks
The Government should pay state pensions on fixed dates every month to make it much easier for pensioners to budget, control their expenditure, and set up Direct Debits and standing orders.
Standardising state pension payments could help millions of pensioners, some of whom may need assistance in managing their budgets, to control the traffic of their budgets, and make paying bills less stressful and complicated. A fixed monthly payment date will mean regulating expenses will not be hit-and-miss, and should give greater security and peace of mind to many who might worry about their accounts holding sufficient funds, month to month, and being able to meet their financial commitments.
